Heidi Caillier Says Rugs Don't Have to Break the Bank
AD100 designer Heidi Caillier
has teamed up with Joon Loloi for a new collection of rugs and throw pillows, proving that stylish décor doesn’t require a hefty investment. Caillier, known for projects ranging from Kendall Jenner’s Wyoming retreat to homes in Carmel-by-the-Sea, emphasized accessibility in her second collaboration with the brand.
Affordable Rugs Starting at $59
The collection features 37 rugs and dozens of throw pillows, with prices starting as low as $59 for rugs and $39-$59 for pillows. Caillier’s design philosophy centers around “collected, eclectic, and timeless” pieces, incorporating repeating floral patterns, geometric stripes, plaids, and checkered prints.
“Everything goes with everything,” Caillier stated. “I view muted, muddier tones as neutrals, and they complement each other really nicely, but they also work really well with unexpected colors, like a bright red or more primary tones.”
Caillier recommends selecting a rug large enough to cover the surface area of all furniture and limiting throw pillows to a maximum of five on a single sofa. She also suggests pairing a rug with elaborate window treatments or a statement sofa for a winning design combination. “That's really the winning mix. You want a sofa that's going to be around for 20 years—and these rugs are such good quality, they're going to be around just as long.”
The collection is available now on Joon Loloi’s website, with the Scarlett rug priced at $1,499 and the Stella Rug at $1,899.
